Nick Miller – better known by his stage name Illenium – is a young future bass artist poised for a massive year in 2017. Already booked for the Shaky Beats, Global Dub, Bonnaroo and Electric Forest festivals, Illenium has now released “Fractures”, a new single, and has also announced his debut UK show at London’s Electric Brixton venue on May 12th.
Hailed by Dancing Astronaut as one of “the most influential figures in future bass”, Illenium has received incredible attention since the release of last year’s Ashes album, a collection of vibey, dancefloor-orientated tunes that balanced solid bass grooves against interesting vocal textures.
“Fractures” is another prime example of this songwriting ability, as guest vocals from female electronic act Nevve provide a soaring, uplifting melodic counterpoint to the churning bass groove.
Illenium will be supported at the Electric Brixton show by US DJ Seven Lions, and fans can look forward to a diverse evening of high-energy music, from future bass sounds to dubstep, glitch hop, electro and trance.
