Stockholm-based musician and producer Lucas Estrada teamed up with singer-songwriter Oaks and powerhouse trio Paradigm on his latest single ‘Love in Vain’ set for release on September 6th via NITRON. Lucas currently boasts over 700 million Spotify streams, and is widely known for his trademark fusion of pop, dance and house. He’s the founder of indie record label LoudKult which has garnered over 1 billion streams so far, as well as millions of followers globally.
As one of Sweden’s most influential dance music artists, Lucas has collaborated with the likes of Grammy-nominated Laura White, Wankelmut and Clara Mae. He’s crafted remarkable remixes for Forest Blakk and Izzy Bizu, and has headlined some of the biggest music festivals in the world, including Distortion Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event and Tinderbox Festival.
Oaks is the electronic music alter-ego of Swedish singer-songwriter Winona Oak. She recently signed to Nettwerk Records and is widely known for her warm, poetic vocals blending folk pop with electro pop. As Oaks, she has collaborated with The Chainsmokers, Robin Schulz and Alan Walker to name a few.
Paradigm is a trio comprised of Seb, Patrick, and DJ Leon who have worked with industry heavyweights like Afrojack and NOTD. Based in Australia and Germany, the trio’s breakthrough happened in 2020 with their hit single ‘Wake Me Up In Paris’, which garnered Gold records in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Their blend of pop and house has created a frenzy with listeners worldwide, with over 250 million Spotify streams right now.
‘Love In Vain’ brilliantly plays to each of the collaborators’ strengths, and features stirring synths and an enthralling melody. The track, although upbeat, has unmistakable sombre undertones with the lyrics expressing a tale of loving someone who doesn’t reciprocate the same feelings. Oaks’ soothing voice is raspy, with an undeniable element of strength to it. Her singing is effortless, and the relationship between her vocals and the flawless production flows seamlessly.
