Stone Techno announces the first details of their multidisciplinary project and festival for 2022. On 9th/10th July the Stone Techno festival returns to celebrate forward-thinking artists at Europe’s biggest coal mine complex under UNESCO’s World Heritage Zollverein (Essen, Germany). Stone Techno started in 2020, as a collaborative project between The Third Room and world-famous Ruhr Museum. This summer Stone Techno presents their biggest and sonically varied line-up. At its core, the line-up consists of artists who have collaborated with the Stone Techno series from the 2021 & 2022 series as well as additional local and emerging artists. The line up is enriched with a new generation of pioneering, emerging and boundary pushing artists to perform at the Stone Techno Festival. The festival also features a floor solely dedicated to showcasing local talent. Prepare for an immersive two days, four floors and additional shows with more than 40 artists, all within the exceptional industrial setting.Techno music stands for upheaval and futurism, while coal is the symbol of the industrialized Ruhr Area, this is a unique project with its audibility inclined to the ongoing process of transformation in the cultural and natural history of the region. Science and culture are crossing paths with contemporary electronic music culture. The first wave of acts set to perform this summer are Adiel, Ahmet Sisman, Bae Blade, Ben Sims, CEM, D.
